Documentation Required for Turkish Citizenship by Investment Program

Turkish government grants citizenship to foreign individuals in return for their investment under the Turkish citizenship by investment program. There are various investment options are available for foreign investors to make an investment, including

  • Fixed capital investment
  • Purchasing real estate property
  • Depositing capital in the Turkish Bank
  • Investment into the real estate investment fund or venture capital investment fund
Investing in one of these options allows the investor to obtain Turkish citizenship once they are found eligible. There are certain criteria and documentation for investors to go through. These eligibility criteria and documentation may vary depending on the type of investment as well as nationality. However, there are some common documents between all the investment types.

Documentation Required for Turkish Citizenship by Investment.

Here is the list of the documentation required for Turkish citizenship,

  • Passport: Applicants must provide a copy of their passport, including the personal details page and applicable visas.
  • Birth certificate: Applicants will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate, translated into Turkish and notarized.
  • Marriage certificate (if applicable): If the applicant is married, they must provide a copy of their marriage certificate, translated into Turkish and notarized.
Note: If the applicant is divorced legally, they will have to submit the divorce certificate (translated into Turkish).
  • Spouse Death certificate: If the applicant is widowed, they must provide a copy of their spouse's death certificate, translated into Turkish and notarized.
  • Police clearance certificate: Applicants must provide a police clearance certificate from their country of citizenship and any country they have lived in for more than six months in the past five years. These certificates must be translated into Turkish and notarized.
  • Health insurance: Applicants must provide proof of health insurance coverage in Turkey.
  • Investment documents: Applicants must provide documentation of their investment, such as a title deed for real estate investments or a certificate of deposit for fixed capital investments.
  • Financial documents: Applicants must provide financial documents, such as bank statements or salary slips, to demonstrate their financial means.
  • Tax clearance certificate: Applicants must provide a tax clearance certificate from their country of citizenship and any country they have lived in for more than six months in the past five years.
Apart from these documents, applicants may also be required to provide additional documentation to get Turkish Citizenship by Investment. such as proof of employment or education.
